Where does my dog play while I’m away?

We have 3 outdoor and 3 indoor play areas for (y)our pups. All dogs are mixed by temperament. We
rotate them throughout the day to make sure they get a chance to nap and relax as much as they
run and play. Our turfed outdoor play area has canopies, water toys, misters and plenty of water bowls
to keep our doggies cool on hot days. We also have 3 play yards in our cool basement level with
individual drains and air to keep everyone clean and happy. All yards are supervised by our Pack Leaders
to ensure that everyone is having fun and playing safe. We offer a variety of packages to fit your lifestyle,
including ½ day passes (up to 4 hrs) up to year long memberships.

What is a Temperament Test?

All of our four legged friends are required to go through a series of tests (2-4 hours in duration) under
the watchful eye of our Pack Leaders and trainers in order to attend daycare or boarding. During each test,
we will be measuring the dog’s reaction to various elements such as, sound, touch, leash handling, separation
and play with humans and other dogs. Each dog will be categorized as “aggressive”, “stable”, or “confident”.
Upon passing, your dog is ready to participate in any of our dog services.

What is required for a temperament?

1) Up to date vaccinations – Bordetella, Rabies, DAP/DHPP
2) Dogs 6 months old must be neutered or spayed
3) No recent illnesses
4) Registration completed and appointment confirmed!

Do I have to have a dog to visit the Dog Society?

Nope! Don’t have a pup yet? That’s ok, we’d love you to come as our guest and enjoy everything we have to offer.
We also partner with amazing dog rescues so…. you just may end up a Member someday!

Can I bring my puppy?

All dogs must be at least 4 months or older to visit and have been fully vaccinated for 2 weeks.

Do I have to pay an entry fee to visit The Dog Society?

Nope! Unless there is a special event, come on in with your pooch, family, and friends to enjoy food and beverages, various games indoors or at our beer garden, watch the big game, or get some work done with free wi-fi. Feel free to call ahead to make sure there are no special events.

Can my dog play off-leash while I enjoy a drink or watch a game, similar to a dog park?

Yes, in our off-leash beer garden. The Dog Society is not a dog park, so we do require that you are still watchful and alert to your dog at all times when playing. It is your responsibility to clean up after and care for your pet at all times. We provide poop bags, gloves and cleaning supplies. When possible we staff the beer garden with a pack leader to help keep all pup play safe. All customers must be 21yrs. of age to enter the beer garden – sorry, no kiddos in this area! All dogs over the age of 6months must be neutered for beer garden play.

All dogs on the main bar floor must keep dogs on-leash since there is food and children in this area. Safety is our top priority and although we have Pack Leaders walking around the facility
to help keep everyone safe, all dogs must be on leash at all times on the “people-floor” of the facility.

If your dog has already passed our temperament test, you will also have the option of checking him/her into daycare for full, off-leash, play with other daycare dogs while you enjoy a coffee or beer. You may even be able to watch them
play from our upstairs patio!

Is there Wi-fi?

Yes! Complimentary Wi-fi is available throughout our facility. Bring your best bud,
grab a cup of joe from our cafe, and get some work in. Need a larger space for work
meetings? We got you covered! Ask about renting our private event space by the hour.

Outside food and drinks?

No outside food or drinks are permitted in our facility. We offer small bites
such as acai bowls, chicken tenders and nachos from our cafe, as well as espresso drinks, kombucha,
craft beer and wine.
No outside food shall be given to dogs at any time on the main/ “people” floor of the facility.

Can I reserve a Private event?

Yes! Please email EVENTS@Dogsocietysd.com with the date and any party details to help get you set-up for the best pawty ever!

Why should I become a Dog Society Member?

Happy dog = happy life. For more information about Membership program, click here

Are children welcome?

Yes, anyone can visit The Dog Society until 8pm daily on the main floor. All patrons must be 21yrs+ for the off-leash beer garden.
After 8pm, only people over 21 are allowed. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult, and must be in the immediate presence and supervision of their parent/guardian at all times.

Do you have breed restrictions?

No, we don’t believe a pup should be judged based on his/her “breed”, but instead on their
character. Any vaccinated pup who has good social behavior is welcome at The Dog Society.

Do you offer civil service discounts?

Yes! We thank you veterans, and proudly offer 10% off all purchases and
passes to our valued: active and veteran military service men and women, first responders, and our
public-school teachers with a valid ID. Inquire with our front desk for more details. Thank you for
supporting our community!

How many dogs can I bring with me on my visit?

We allow 2 dogs per adult. As much as we would love to host the neighborhood pack, safety is our
first concern and feel 2 per person is max.

How many dogs can I board or place into daycare?

We do not have a maximum on how many dogs you can bring into daycare or boarding as
long as they are from the same household. Ask about our same-house discounts!
*Only 2 dogs are permitted per person on the “people floor”.

How do I open my own Dog Society?

We are looking to expand our people-friendly dog company! Email us at management@dogsocietysd.com for more info.

General House Rules:

Treat our house better than your own! Please do not allow your dog to be
on tables or relieve themselves in our house. There is a designated relief
